Thank you for honoring my dad. I was only 8 when he died, and I've missed him every day of my life since then. Every time I hear of the loss of another officer, my heart breaks for the children & spouses left behind. We can't honor these fallen heroes enough.

My heart goes out to his family. What a surprising way to come to end.

My grandfather was Thomas Swan. He was a Walworth County Sheriff if my memories serve me correctly. He passed away when I was 8-9 and I do not recall memories of him at all. He didn't pass while on duty. He passed from lung cancer. Do you have a picture or any memories of him? I would be so grateful!

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 47th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Thanks to your family and friends for sharing their devotion to you through their reflections. I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever
