To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 56th anniversary year of your death.

Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

To the family of Patrolman Bolstad,
My name is Dave Ward, Patrolman Bolstad died trying to save my brother. I was 6 years old when my brother Alvin Wiese drowned at Long Beach, Washington. All my life I have wondered about the brave man who gave his life trying to save my brother Alvin, who was a total stranger to him. I would like to thank you, you lost a father and husband, a heroic man indeed. I would like to contact any family members who would like to share memories with me.
