I read about your fate in the news this morning. It's an awful reminder of the darker side of wearing the badge. Let your family feel your strength and love, and may your Seattle brethren feel your warmth on the most chilling of nights. Watch over the rest of us on the thin blue. Requiem in pacem.

Sir, thank you for your service and dedication to your community and other officers (FTO). Now you will be protecting from above with several other great officers who like yourself put others first until the end of their shifts. May god be with you and your family and keep the faith from above! VAYA CON DIOS AMIGO!

Officer Brenton, thank you very much for your service. I was horrified to learn of the depths to which our society can sink, and I am deeply honored that you would nonetheless dedicate yourself to serving that society. I salute you, and all law enforcement officers, for protecting us, even when so often we strike the hand you extend to us, and mock the police and the law. Thank you for your service, and my deepest, heart-felt condolences to the family.

Tim,
I still remember the one emphasis patrol we worked together last summer. I remember you called your wife and 2 kids to tell them goodnight. Soon after, you kicked ass and found those robbery suspects at 13/Remington Ct. We'll miss seeing you around the precinct. We're going to hit it hard and WE WILL NOT REST until justice is served.
See you upstairs.

I'm as old as Officer Brenton with the same amount of years of service with my department. His death brings it close to home for me and makes me think of my own life and family. I can't even imagine what his family must be feeling at this time. Tonight I will go home and kiss my wife, son and daughter, and ask god to protect me and the rest of us who serve from those who are wanting and willing to take our lives. As hard as it may be, we must continue the fight against those who would harm our friends and family. We must stand with a ready sword and pray that we fall into god's good graces. Officer Brenton, may you find yourself in god's loving arms.

I watched as your body was moved from Harborview to the funeral home. I was deeply saddened to know that you had been killed the night before when I got a frantic phone call from another officer telling me of what had occurred.
When I logged in for my watch you were on the lips of every officer on every call.
We are taking care of your family as best we can. I am personally praying for you and your loved ones.
We will find them and we will bring them to justice.
"Rest now brother for the watch is ours."

To Officer Brenton's family, friends and fellow officers:
No words can heal the pain you feel. My condolences extend to you in this terrible time. Please remember Officer Brenton as the great father, husband, friend and officer that he was to you. I am sorry this tragedy has befallen you. As a young officer, I lost a fellow officer and academy classmate, Ricardo Lizarraga. That feeling brings me to this website frequently. I do my best as a training officer now, as I'm sure Tim did. I too come from a law enforcement family and know the joys and pains of this great calling. Let us all say a special prayer for Tim's family and friends in the comings days and months. Officer Brenton is looking down on all of us, the SPD's guardian angel.
Officer Brenton, you show clear and End of Watch. Goodnight.
