Tim,

As I sit in my patrol car this morning, I am overwhelmed with raw emotions and endless stream of tears. I’ll do my best to prevent my partners from seeing my bloodshot eyes, but I can’t hide all day.

Our paths have never crossed, but I feel as if I know you. Husband, father, friend, neighbor, partner...and police officer. Regardless of the uniform, we're all part of the same extended family. Your duty to this world is done. Take some comfort knowing your LE brothers and sisters will take it from here.

You’re 950, but will not be forgotten.

Rest easy my brother…

Deputy
King County Sheriff's Office

How sad! And what a coward for taking an officer's life in such a manner. It is my sincere hope that the person who did this is caught and never sees the light of day again.

Officer Brenton, guide your family giving them love, courage and strength as they begin to navigate this world without you beside them in the physical manner.

Watch over your brothers and sisters in uniform as well.

Rest in peace.

Michelle - wife of US Marshal

DON'T GRIEVE FOR ME"
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path god laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call,
I turn my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Task left undone must stay that way,
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Than fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah yes, these things I, too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow,
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

Another name - another sadness. My heart goes out to the family, fellow officers, and friends of Tim. We will honor him always, but more specifically in May in Spokane on the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. We pray that God will give all those close to him solace.

A THREAD OF BLUE
by Robert Fouracre
As flowers fade
With ribbons frayed
And tears of sorrow cease

That haunting sound
“Officer Down”
Will never find its Peace

The list of Grief
And Disbelief
Are echoes of the past

The time we spent
And what it meant
Are mem’ries that will last

We Live and Die
And don’t know why
But what we leave behind

A Thread of Blue
A Job to Do
And Duty Undefined

The Honor Goes
To All of Those
Who Dared to Take a Stand

And all along
They keep us strong
With God’s Great Helping Hand
