Reflections for City Marshal Felix A. Boller
Felix was my great, great grandfather. He is one of the first fifty...... meaning he was the first officer killed in the line of duty in the State of Kansas. His son, my great grandfather, James H Boller served at the same police department for over 20 years. I also served at the same police department Riley County (Manhattan Kansas) next to Ogden Kansas for over 18 years. I served a total of 25 years in law enforcement. Very proud of my family history. God bless the men and women in blue.

I believe Felix to be the Husband of my Great Aunt Jane Elizabeth Mallon. Rip Sir. I also read he was shot while trying to stop a sexual assault by Fort Riley soldiers upon a neighbor lady.

Great Nephew.

Indeed he isn't forgotten. The Riley County Police Department maintains an excellent file on Officer Boller. He has many descendents including an officer on the Police Department. My children all know his story and we will continue to preserve his memory. God Bless.
