Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Brian Scott Etheridge
I too have a wife and little daughter. I think about them both everyday when I put on my vest and had out to work. I always give them a kiss and tell them that i love them because you just never know what is going to happen.
Rest in Peace, Deputy Etheridge.

I was a police officer in Wichita years ago prior to working with the U.S. Marshals so this really upset me more than most. Such a senseless act. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and LEO in the Wichita area. RIP brother and God bless!

I had the honor meeting and working with Brian prior his move to the Sheriff's Department, although we didn't work directly together, I will always remember his outgoing and friendly personality and that smile -- it was always there, even while working the juvenile offenders. It takes a speical person to work in law enforcement, Brian was that special person. He will be missed, by not only Sarah and Natalie, his family, his brothers and sisters at the Sheriff's Department, but also by his brothers and sisters at the Department of Corrections. Rest in peace Brian -- your shift is over, and you made the ultimate sacrifice.
