Sir the sacrifice you have made and that so many make each and every day in this Great Land of ours both here and overseas throughout history saddens me greatly but as it should any normal person. I pray that our heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your family's bereavement, and may not one person ever forget the price you paid so that others may be safe.. Rest In Peace Patrolman Jones. God Bless America

To everything there is a time, and a season, for every purpose under heaven. I did not have the privledge of knowing Ptl. Jones, but it is obvious that he was doing what he did best, to protect and to serve. He and each and every man that stood with him that day. They were all there to serve. Things occur as part of a devine plan, many times one we do not see or understand. Our job is to honor those who serve, and trust that He who holds the key to understanding, will bring peace in this moment of grief.
Thank you Mr. Jones for your service, Thank you officers who stood with him that day for your service.

There's not a day, hour, minute that goes by without me thinking of you in some way. I feel like so much has been taken away from us both. I feel robbed of my time with you. You know how I feel and I know that you wouldn't have wanted any of this. I miss you more than words can describe.
Love you always

For Patrolman Jerry Jones:
Our duty as law officers takes us to front where the heaviest action occurs. As in an battle, the timing and the actions of each of us remains one of careful decision and irrevocable judgement. When things go wrong it can be horrific. Never-the-less it is part of battle and each of must live with ourselves to the end of time.
For Jerry, both as an soldier-of-the-law and as a marine my guess is that he would blame nobody. Nor would he be other than what he has proven himself to be -- a model defender of his fellow man. We recognize him a hero standing among heros.
We pray for his family, his friends, his co-workers and all those who care about him. A voice that sounds like his, heard most clearly by we who have been in battle, is saying we should hold no grudge for his comrades on this day of horror. Truly, I am certain, this will give him rest.
As a retired PA state trooper, a FL deputy sheriff and veteran soldier I am proud to render Jerry a final salute.

To the Family of Officer Jones,
I am so sorry for your loss.
What you must remember is, Jerry was placed on earth to serve, by God; and serve he did. We, as His servants, never know what this service will involve or for how long, that's for God to decide too.
I pray that God's hand of comfort will be with you at this time of loss.
