I am your great-granddaughter. Your son, my grandfather- Shellie, spoke of you often. Although we never met I am thankful to have gotten to know you through him.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 64th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. DAD , I lost you when I was only 17 and getting ready to face life's obstacles. You instilled many things in me that were great words of wisdom which I am using to this day. You were a great father to me and you ARE my hero. I think of you every day and have dreamed of you many times. You will always be with me until we meet again. Your loving son.
