Chad, it was such a pleasure to have known you and to work with you.I'll always cherish the times we sat and talked about our faith, how you worked so hard at being the best Dad ever to Audbrey, and your dream of working with the canine unit.I still can't believe that you are gone. You are in a safe place now, and I hope you find comfort knowing all your friends and family will take good care of your daughter.

Former Bridgeville Police Secretary

Chad...I can not believe that you are gone. I can not believe that your daughter will grow up..learn to drive and walk down the isle one day without her daddy. I know I speak for a lot of officers that we all wish we were there. I was even supposed to be working. It was the hardest thing listening to radio transmission and all the different officers and departments that went there to help. But that is the thin blue line.....and no one understands that except for us. Hopefully justice will put those cowards in jail for a long time.....Rest well my brother we have it now. God Speed Chad....God Speed

As an emergency room nurse, I remember Chad coming into the er numerous times. He was always kind and considerate. He always had a smile on his face. He will be sorely missed. This is such an increadibly tragic end to a fine young mans life. God bless the Spicer family and may Gods angels watch over them.

Ofc. Spicer I was on vacaction only ten minutes from where you were killed when I heard the news. It broke my heart. Though we never worked together, you were my brother in blue. May God bless you and take care of your family and fellow officers. As I type this I am recalled of the words engraved on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial in DC. "It is now how these officers died that made them heroes. It is how they lived." Rest easy brother we have the watch from here.
