As a former Police Officer and having 2 sons who are active Police Officers, our hearts and prayers are with Officer Hamilton and his Family.Officer Hamilton, you are the ultimate Hero who without hesitation, gave your life to protect american citizens like myself wherever we may live.I know there is a special place in Heaven for Hero's like you. Here is a special Policeman's Prayer for you and Family. When I am called to duty,God,wherever the crime may be,Give me strength to protect some life, whatever be the plea.Help me guide those in need or save an innocent life from the dangers of all around.I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me;To guard my every neighbor and to make the world a better place. And if according to your will, I am to give my life, please bless with your protecting hand,my loving family from strife.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Dear Hamilton Family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of another officer...your officer. My heart goes out to your family...I desperately wish you could have been spared having to go through this tragedy!!! My husband was killed three years ago today (August 21, 2006), and my twin daughters (now 12 years old)and I grieve with you today...for both of our losses. I pray that God, your husband's department, your family, your friends, and your community surround you and help carry you through. Please know that myself and many other widows of law enforcement officers are truly thinking about you, praying for you, and grieving with you from afar. We only wish we could somehow be there with you...to let you know that you are not alone...to help you endure the days and especially the nights ahead.
