Mike, we are saddened by such a tragic senseless loss as of last evening. The 10-12 ride alongs that the Tampa Bay Bucs and I have done over the years with you and your agency with the different cycles have been the best with your knowledge and skills of K-9. Last night at around 10:00 pm, you taught me to have more courage in the face of adversity than you will ever know. I was on my way back from doing a fundraiser for the Pasco sheriff's office when the news hit. You rest now brother and we thank you for giving us all the protection you did and most of all for making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while the community slept.
Sicerely,

A true hero and role model doing a very difficult job and putting his life on the line every day he went to work. It is a very sad day and even though I did not know Mike I feel a tremendous loss in my heart.
