We are so saddened to learn of Agent Rosas's death and our sincere condolences are extended to his family, friends and fellow Border Patrol agents. Because of where we live, my husband and I have the privilege of interacting with the U.S. Border Patrol agents on a daily basis. There are no adequate words to express how grateful we are for everything they do. Not only do they risk their lives daily to protect our borders, they also help the residents of our community in so many other ways that are above and beyond their official duties. We believe that the agents of the U.S. Border Patrol should receive so much more credit and recognition for the incredibly dangerous and valuable work they do each and every day. Agent Rosas gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country and its citizens and he will be remembered by us as the True American Hero that he is.

It sickens me that we lost another brother today to what was obviously an ambush. Hopefully no rock will remain unturned in the search for those responsible for this. We will take the watch from here. My family will be praying for you and your family. God bless you and your family. Vaya con dios!

Any agent that ever says they've not contemplated this nightmare scenario in the dark of night, alone, miles from anywhere is either a liar or a fool. BPA Rosas, I did not know you personally, but you are a brother in green. I hope and pray that the scum that murdered you will be identified and brought to justice.
My family sends their love and prayers to the Rosas family and the Campo Station.
Vaya con Dios, hermano. Lo tenemos de aqui.
