Thank you for your service Brother Robert, so that others may sleep at night knowing that their homeland is under constant guard and watch. Those of us that you left behind will remember as we stand watch over our homeland that your wife, son and daughter will be protected from those that would seek to do us harm. I'll see you when I get there.

Agent Rosas,
You did a job that a lot of officers wouldn't do - protecting our borders with back up many miles away, knowing that people do indeed kill to gain entry into our country. You were a hero for what you stood for in the job you did - now you are an angel! I pray the Lord provided peace for you before you took your last breath. I also pray that he will wrap his loving arms around your family and carry them through the difficult (and lonely) days ahead. I talked with a BP officer this year at the Capitol on Peace Officer Memorial Day - little did he or I know that he would lose a brother in green so soon. Thanks for your service to our country!

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

Rest in peace Agent Rosas. Thank you for your service. It's a shame you were so unjustly taken. We will never forget you.
To the wife of Robert - Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I don't know you but I think of you and your family daily. Be strong and know there are so many people across the country keeping you in their well wishes.
To the kids - Your daddy was a hero. Always remember that.
To the entire Border Patrol - Thank you's aren't enough to express appreciation for your efforts. At times you may feel alone out there in the field, but please know that many people admire and respect the difficult work you do day in and day out. Thank you for protecting us in such a selfless manner. You all are heros in my book. I know Robert will protect you from heaven. Be strong and stay safe. God Bless you all.

I am deeply saddened by the LOD death of Border Patrol Agent Robert Wimer Rosas. The heartfelt appreciation of a truly grateful American citizen goes out to his family and friends. He served honorably and faithfully, answering the call of duty when he was needed.
I'd like to express my sympathy and deepest condolences to his family, and that they are in my prayers during this time of grief. I hope his family knows that people all over the world recognize him as a true hero. I hope the fact that he is honored by so many people bring them some comfort in this time of loss. I hope they feel the comfort and love from across this nation embrace them and hold them up during this difficult time. We will not forget him and will forever be in his debt for all he has done for us. His family are in my prayers.
The officers of the Border Patrol are in my prayers during this dark time as they continue the mission of making our world a safer place. To each of you I say a big “Thank You” for doing what you do everyday. Thank you for going into “the office” when you don’t feel like it. Thank you for standing out and directing traffic in the rain. Thank you for working the night shift when we are safe in bed. Thank you for putting on that uniform everyday. Thank you for going through doors, even though you know what is behind them. You are all heroes. I don’t know how often you hear it, but I’m certain it’s not nearly enough. You are in my prayers.
