To the family, friends and co-workers of Chief Deputy Eggelston, my heart felt condolences for such a sudden and tragic loss. Joshua died doing what he loved on this earth. Now, in Jesus' holy name, I pray He receives Joshua to his eternal reward in heaven. May God grant him peace and his family comfort through His mercy and grace.

With great sadness, I received the news regarding Josh.
In addition to being a friend, Josh was the regions area coordinator for Idaho Operation Lifesaver.
Josh was a person that took his responsibilities at the Sheriff's Office and as our area coordinator seriously.
As the area coordinator, Josh worked diligently trying to educate people of the potential dangers that exist at highway rail crossings and around railroad right of way.
All of us at Idaho Operation Lifesaver send our condolences to his family and the Sheriff’s Office.
We all will miss him.
