Reflections for Sergeant Joseph Anthony Harris, Sr.
Joe,
You once told me that despite having arthritis if I wanted to be a cop bad enough I could get it. While a fractured ankle prevented me from making it into the academy, I'll never forget your advice. Your advice was a direct reflection of your attitude on life - go for it.
I remember talking with you at Joe's Pasta House in Rio Rancho many times. You were always quick with a joke or a story from the job.
You were obviously born to be a police officer and whether you knew it or not, you were born to be a hero.
They don't make many like you anymore.
You will be missed.
Godspeed.
