To most people he was officer Cannon but to me he was my most handsome brother or just plan ole joe joe. It is unfortunate that most of the people who have written did not know him personally but he was a wonderful person and through all this I have a greater respect for all officers in what they do for us citizens. Joe was a good officer, brother and dad and we were blessed to have him for a short time but will get to see him again and thats what gets me through the hard days. As a added note I would like to say thank you to all those that have sent their condolences.

God Bless you Assistant Chief Joey Cannon for the many years of service you have given, and the ultimate sacrifice you have now made. Bless your Family, for the toll of all those years that they have endured, and to have your precious life taken from them two weeks before your retirement, is just horrendous.
May God Grant your fellow Officers and your Family and Friends, the Serenity to accept the things they can not Change, the Courage to change the things they can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.... Rest in Peace Blue Angel...
