My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family, friends, brothers and sisters of Trooper Miller. Thank you for your service to Pennsylvania.
A Poem for you (from Police Poems) Trpr. Miller:
"Final Call"
An Angel In The Sky Must Leave His Place Of Rest,
Gently Tucking His Wings Beneath His Armored Vest.
For Duty Has Called, There Is Much Work To Do
Little Did He Know, This One Is Dressed In Blue.
Arriving On The Scene, He Knows Just What To Say,
"Follow Me, Fallen Brother, I'll Show You The Way."
"Your Duty Has Ended, Your Work Is Now Through."
"Come Hang Your Hat Beside Mine, I'm A Cop, Too."

My heart goes out to this family. Our officers put their life on the line every day and we owe them so much. As officer families we never know if our love ones will come home,we hope and pray for their safe return. I don't know what this family is going through, but I wish them well and know that they are in our hearts and prayers.

I was crushed when I found out what happened to Josh last night...but I was not suprised. I worked with Josh Miller at Troop M- Bethlehem. Josh was arguably one of the most outstanding men I have ever had the honor to know or work with. There is a huge void in the PSP today because we lost a man that will be impossible to replace. My thoughts and prayers go out to Josh's wife and kids. I will honor you each day by attempting to do this job at the same high level in which you performed it, shift after shift. We will all miss you. I know you will be watching over us now.

God Bless you Trooper Miller and thank you for your service. May the many Angels from Philadelphia's Department greet you at the Pearly Gates and welcome you to Heaven. And may God be with your family in this time of grief. May God watch over all the Pennsylvania State Troopers and keep them safe. May God watch over all the men and women of the Phily Police Department as well. Bless all the men and women who patrol the roads of Pennsylvania and the nation. Thank you all for your service to the greatful citizens who appreciate the dangerous and tough work you do.

May our Lord watch over Angie and your children during this tragic time. Matthew 5:9 -- Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the Son's of God.
You were one of the best, Father, Husband, Trooper, Friend and Marine, that has walked this Earth. Your death left a large hole that will remain unfilled in many lives.
You are in our thoughts and prayers, rest well now my Friend, You've earned it. You are a "True Hero", watch over us all.

Trooper Josh MILLER was the student leader of my cadet class at the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. Josh was a great person and a natural leader. After leaving the academy I had the privelege of working near Josh keeping in contact with him. Josh was the image of what a Pennsylvania State Trooper is supposed to be. He served the department with honor, integrity, and compassion. Josh never swerved from the path of duty. Josh also served his country as a member of the Unites States Marine Corps. Josh gave his life defending the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and his family should be very proud of him. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Trooper Josh MILLER for today both the Pennsylvania State Police and his family have suffered a great loss. Josh will never be forgotten by those of us who knew him and had the pleasure of serving with him. God bless.
