Reflections for Police Officer Alejandro "Alex" Valadez
This is such a tragedy. Officer Valadez, I'm sure when your little one is born s/he will hear stories of what a hero you were. My heart goes out to all who knew you. Thank you for being so selfless and caring.

Rest in peace Brother Valadez. May the Lord Jesus escort you into heaven and seat you at the right hand of the Father. Those that forsake all in service to others(Police/Fire/EMS/Military)have earned eternal rest. May the Lords grace and healing shine on his family and his extended police family in this time of sorrow. Rest Brother for your job is done here. Look down upon those of us remaining on the "thin blue line" and keep us safe.

Thank you for serving and protecting us while you could. Even though I never met you, so many I know have been affected by this loss just as we were when we lost Eric. I will continue to pray for them in your memory. RIP

I REMEMBER ALEX WHEN I FIRST CAME TO 22ND DISTRICT. I WAS A PPO AND HE WAS JUST GETTING OFF HIS PPO STATUS BUT NOT KNOWING HE WAS STILL FAIRLY NEW TO POLICE ENFORCEMENT I LOOKED AT HIM AS IF HE HAD ALOT OF YEARS UNDER HIS BELT BY THE WAY HE CARRIED HIMSELF WHICH I FOUND VERY ADMIRABLE. I ALWAYS REMEMBERED HIM BY HIS SMILE AND GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR AS WELL AS HIS SERIOUS NATURE WHEN THE TIME CALLED FOR IT. NO MATTER HOW TOUGH OF A DAY YOU WERE HAVING ALEX WAS THE KIND OF GUY WHO CAN LIFT YOUR SPIRIT BY SIMPLY CRACKING A JOKE AND LAUGH ALONG WITH YOU TO LET YOU KNOW EVERYTHING'S GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT. HE WAS VERY WELL RESPECTED AND LOVED BY EVERYONE WHO KNEW HIM IN 22 AND WILL BE DEARLY MISSED. MY HEART AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY. THANK YOU ALEX FOR ALL THE GREAT MEMORIES. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
