Always jovial with a very optimistic attitude; Tom was also capable of tremendous concentration, focus, and single minded tenacity.
My closest interaction with Tom was on the shooting range where I helped him overcome the same vision problems which plague me. He exhibited an ability to bring undivided attention to the task at hand.
His unbridled enthusiasm for life and work is missed by all who were privileged to know him.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

Rest In Peace.

To Deputy Tom Wilson, to all family members and friends who call him beloved, and to his law enforcement family:

I was sorry to learn of Tom's death and extend my sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you have suffered. Words are insufficient to describe the sadness I feel for the Wilson family. May you find comfort in your faith and the support of the law enforcement community.

There are many police survivors who share this same journey with you, and that community will be there to support you. Tom's memory will be forever honored and revered.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the distinquished service Tom gave to his community and the citizens of Mississippi and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on May 17, 2009.
