Reflections for Prohibition Officer John Luther "Lew" Maddy

I am very proud of my grandfather, a lot of the information I did not know, my father did not talk about it, he and his brother was in town that day and heard the shots. I am very grateful for this site to honor him. Donald Maddy

So grateful for my cousin in finding all this information on my husband’s great grandfather.
I know if he was alive today he would be so proud of his great grandfather and very proud of John for searching this stuff.
Thank you Lew Maddy for your service to our country and to your community in law enforcement .

Proud to read of my great grandfather's history here.
There were many blessings you delivered to my life that you never got to see.
Love you and appreciate what you sacrificed.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 88th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
