A Friend

A day hasn't passed since April 8, 2009 that I haven't thought about Allen Pearson. I watched this young boy grow into a man over the years. He was a dedicated law enforcement officer and fellow SRT member.

I remember Allen walking up to the rally point that fateful night and without even being asked, he began assisting other team members prepare gear for the mission. Allen was eager to enter the woods with the entry team on this operation, and he faced evil with great honor.

To the Pearson family...I loved Allen like a brother...and will always remember our good times together.

I cannot believe it's already been almost 3 months since that horrible phone call at 5:30 in the morning. I want you to know, that we love you. I want you to know that our lives will never be the same, because you are no longer here to share in our joys. Our lives will no longer be the same, because we knew you. A hero.
It's been so hard to move on...breakfast on Saturdays, is so sad now, there is a void that will never be filled-ever. Thank you, Allen, for your service, your sacrifice, your character--we miss you and love you.

It's been two long months now since you went away. There is not a day at the office that you are not thought of. There is not ever a day that you are not in our thoughts. Each day when I put that band around my wrist for you. I think of you, your wife, your Dad, Mom, Sister and many loved ones that were left behind and your law enforcement family that will never forget. It is very hard for the ones left behind but they will reunite with you again one day. It was a day we never thought we would see. You are serving your highest call of duty now. We Love You
God Bless All
