Reflections for Police Officer Eric Guy Kelly
4 officers perish in Oakland,1 is wounded in North Carolina stopping a killing spree heroiclly, and now 3 slain in an ambush in Pittsburgh.....its a war out there and unfortunetely these brave men and women are on the front lines.
Thank you for your service and your sacrafice to protect us from the criminal element that appears with each day to be getting more daring and deadly.
There is no more honorable of a human being that has laid down thier life for the common good and well being of there fellow men.
Caring and concerned citezen

My thoughts and prays go out to the families and friends of these fallen officers. It has only been 3 days since we at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department remembered the 2 year anniversary of our own fallen, Officer Shaun Clark and Jeff Shelton. It still hurts to think of our two losses and I can not imagine the pain of loosening three at one time.
Know that they are in a better place. They devoted their lives to making the City of Pittsburg a better place and made the ultimate sacrifice for that goal. I am honored to be part of a profession that has heroes such as these fine officers.

I just wanted to say my prayers and thoughts are with this officer and his two other colleagues. As a Police Officer Recruit for a major metropolitan city this is a somber reminder of the dangers we all face. May God except these officers home so that they may continue to protect us from up above. God Bless You All. TL

"No greater love has a man than to lay down his life for a friend." Officer Kelly was a true friend of the City of Pittsburgh having made the ultimate sacrifice to protect her citizens. My prayer is for the family of Officer Kelly that they may someday find peace and comfort that Officer Kelly's life was not wasted as he made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you for allowing him to be who he was and so valiantly served
to protect. May God's blessing be with you in these days and years to follow.

I am deeply saddened to hear of yet another instance where some of our bravest officers were gunned down in cold blood. I can't imagine the pain and sorrow felt by the families, departments, and communities these officers were a part of. I keep a prayer in my heart for fallen officers and their families at all times, and now am going to make room for these. It is just too sad that the evil and selfish criminal who cut these brave officers lives short did not meet the same fate as did the one in Oakland a few weeks ago. Rest easy now Brother, we have the watch.
