After 20 years of service I found myself becoming less and less a man of faith. However, I do believe there is a place in heaven for men with a sense of Duty, Honor and Courage. Godspeed Brother, I'm sure you are at peace in that place. You will not be forgotten by those who loved you and all the men and women who walked in your footsteps. God Bless you, your family and the members of your Department.

Another hero taken too soon by a senseless act...the three of you were simply doing your job when this happened and to lose all three of you in one incident frightens and saddens me.

But you lived as heroes everyday doing routine, "hero" things as only officers and soldiers and Marines can do because that is who you are!!! When it came to dying in the line of duty, you simply did it because that was what happened.

I pray for your families and your Department that God's love will help them all to heal from this tragedy.
You arewloved and will not be forgotten. Bless you,

HERO

It’s the life of a person who gave all they could,
A life that this person knew one day they would.
Lay down for another, a sister, a brother,
Lay down for a son, a daughter, a mother.

They put it all out there, left nothing behind.
They kept their eyes open, but to fear, they were blind.
They jumped right in and took death by the horns.
They rescued another, but gave up their own.

They’re people who always knew it would come.
They day that will only happen to some.
The day that they waited for all of their life.
The day they paid a hero’s ultimate price.

A hero is one who wished he could go,
Through heaven’s gates with a shiny halo.
A halo that showed, just that he died,
Because a hero gives and relinquishes pride.

Don’t mourn for a hero who has passed by the way.
Don’t mourn for the hero because we know one day.
That given the chance all of us would,
Give what they gave, if only we could.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host by the Divine Power of God cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
