Reflections for Police Officer Paul John Rizzo Domenic Sciullo, II
Lord Jesus, as we watch America’s Peace Officers succumb to the wicked and evil in this world, Shot and Killed in the Line-of-Duty, it becomes difficult for us to pick up and move forward. Our communities are on the brink of exploding with tension. In light of the peace officers who are no longer with us, I pray for endurance for our communities and law enforcement agencies. Carry us through this time of strife, that through our struggles, our bonds may grow even more unbreakable. In Your mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.
Holy Scriptures on Law Enforcement’s Mission:
“For the policeman [peace officer] does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman [peace officer] is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he [the peace officer] will have you punished. He [the peace officer] is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should.” [Romans 13:3-5 TLB]
[Jesus Said,] “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” [John 15:13 ESV]
And he [Jesus] said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” [Luke 23:43 ESV]
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” [Isaiah 6:8 ESV]

Officer Sciullo , 11 years ago today you and your partners were horrifically ambushed and murdered while trying to protect a mother from her son. Your killer will never be able to hurt anybody else again and he very much Ed deserved the death penalty which he got in 2011. rest in heavenly peace

At God's Gate
---------------------------
They came from different walks of life
Yet they answered but one call
To protect & serve the public
In this they gave their all.
They stood their post
Each & every day
To make our world a safer place,
They greeted our children with arms outstretched
And a smile upon their face.
When times grew dark,
And evil appeared,
This is when they were at their best,
They stood above all others
And for this they have earned their rest.
Yet the watch goes on,
It must never stop,
For their journey is not complete,
As they guard the gates of Heaven,
Next to God they take their seat.
Rest Well My Brothers

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I hold your family in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.
Rest In Peace

The laws today are there more so for the criminals and less for the victims. Laws need to be stronger, especially when there is a Police Officer involved while in the line of duty. There should be "automatic sentences" "automatic sanctions". Perhaps we would have less of this. The 911 system needs to inform Officers in EVERY case of Weapons on the premises. Policies need to change. This whole day was TRAGIC! My heart goes out to all the families involved. May God's Love protect those that protect us every day. My prayers are with the families going through this hell. I am pleased with the verdict, however, we will probably never see this carried out in our lifetimes and it will cost, we the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars. This whole system needs an overhaul.

To the family and friends of Paul:
Today I was honored to participate in a workout that honored Paul...a Hero WOD....our little gym in Tucson, AZ paid tribute to Paul, who made the ultimate sacrifice. I remember the day Paul died...who could forget. A few months later I started to Crossfit....and I was hooked from day 1. The tribute that is paid to fallen officers, soldiers and firefighters is amazing...Every time I get chills...
I just wanted to let Paul's family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Pitt know that his sacrifice will never be forgotten. He died a hero, and he will live on hero.
From Crossfitters all around the world, I thank you my brother, rest easy and we will train together some day....
