Brother,

Words cannot even begin to describe the hurt in my heart for your family. I have prayed that a day like this would never come, yet I know, now, you're in a better place.
You were always an amazing encourager to me. Never negative or prideful; always humble and saw the best in everyone. You believed in me and my dreams and told me on many occasions that no matter what anyone else may have said, that I could do anything.
I'll never forget that while I was there, your favorite place to run traffic was on 9th Street. "People just fly through there!", I'd hear you say as you came in with a huge stack of tickets. Then, I'd cuss you all afternoon as I entered every last one of them in. I knew, just by the way you carried yourself that you loved doing your job and I truly admired that.
No reflection, monument, or tribute will ever be able to capture the essence of your spirit as a man, a husband, a father, or a Police Officer. You have touched my life forever.
One day, we will all patrol the golden streets of heaven together. Until that time comes, we will continue to go 10-8, protect and serve the citizens of Bridgeport and Wise County, and honor you and your family as having made the ultimate sacrifice.

We have the watch Brother.
