The last few months it seems likes life is taking its toll on the Law-Enforcement community. Almost every day it seems like another loss of a brother or sister so others may live. The 23rd Psalm is always on my mind. I think it helps us all in these times of heart ache to read that scripture. My family prays that officers can make it home at the end of their shift each day.

My heart is broken as I sit and read about another drunk driver claiming the life of a young man in the prime of his life.

Trooper Haynes, watch over your family as they begin this long, dark journey without you giving them the love, guidance and support they will need.

Thank you for your service.

Rest in peace.
