Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice that you gave to protect us. I read a poem once about "A Hero" that states

"A Hero Touches Every One Of Us,
Whether It Be Word Or Deed.
When A Hero Leaves This Earth, Yes, It's Sad, But True..

All Too Many Times, The Hero Is Dressed In Blue"

You are a hero who will not be readily forgotten. Our loss is Heavens Gain

I watched the news last nite. I am so sorry that this continues to happen to men in blue.
I pray for strength for you family and for those of the other officers that died.
My thoughts are with with your fellow officers in Oakland. I have lived through the watch that is maintained in the hospitals, the prayers and tears. I bid them all peace.
Yesterday was your end of watch, etched in the hearts of those that loved you and the many more that did not know you, but we all know you gave it all to make our world a safe one. I thank you! Please say hello to Stalnaker and Sowa from Atlanta.
God Bless you and your family.
