Reflections for Sergeant Daniel Takashi Sakai
I AM A WARRIOR
by Jon F. Hooper
I stand with God. I fight not for glory or fame,
For they are momentary.
I fight for those who can't.
I fight for Justice.
I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden.
And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets,
For I serve to protect the innocent.
It matters not where or when,
For evil knows no boundaries.
Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny,
I will not flee.
Justice is my weapon.
Faith is my shield.
Hope is my armor.
Cry not at my passing,
For it was my Honor to fight for you.
Shed not tears of sorrow,
But tears of joy,
For now,
I stand with God.

Nehemiah had a heart for his people and was led by God to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. The Re-builders of the Wall worked with their weapons at the ready as they rebuilt the wall and protected those within the city.
In cities, small towns and villages in every nation police men and women put their lives on the line restraining evil that seeks to destroy society. In the United States a police officer dies in the line of duty every 57 hours. Facing the worst elements in society exacts a ruthless toll both personally and in the family of police officers.
NEHEMIAH'S WALL
For all these who serve in this clearly God-ordained role, we want to
acknowledge their daily sacrifice as they stand on the Wall to protect us all.
Nehemiah had a heart for his people and was led by God to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. The Re-builders of the Wall worked with their weapons at the ready as they rebuilt the wall and protected those within the city.
To those who stand on the Nehemiah’s Wall of our community, we offer prayer each morning and night for every Police Officer.
We pray that they are protected from all harm while they stand watchover our lives, and property, that each Officer is granted power ofdiscernment, the courage to practice restraint in the face of provocation and the will to act decisively and quickly in the face of personal danger.
Isaiah 58 verses 8 and 12 promise to those who rebuild and
protect, that His hand will be upon their back.

Dear Sgt. Daniel Sakai's family, friends, and law enforcement brothers,
There are never the "right" words to get you through the next few days, weeks and months of grieving and mourning. As a law enforcement survivor, I can only wish and pray that God will support you and guide you to get you through this horrific time. We may never know nor understand why Daniel was taken from us so soon. I will be thinking of you as you plan for the upcoming funerals, and even into the next few weeks as the awful reality of March 21st sinks in.
