Dear Family, Friends, and Officers,
My heart and prayers goes out to you all. Erv and I kept the A-4 sky hawk flying for the Marine Corps at the MAG in Alameda. Corporal Romans when I met him was in charge of the avionics shop and as younger Marines we went on many deployments together. We both nominated for Marine of the month at the same time, Ervin won and rightly so he was one squared away Marine.

To the Roman family,
My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time of mourning. It was an honor to serve with a fellow Marine who was our brother. It was also good to know that he chose to be a part of the city that I was born and raised in. I salute you and thank you for your Ervin. His ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten. Until we all meet again, God bless you all.
