My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Sadly, our nation has lost one of its finest citizens, a community has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage who they will love and respect forever.

Marc, it was an honor to speak at your funeral, I will never forget it.

I can not express how much your friendship means to Gailyn and I. I'll always remember the good times we had on and off duty.

My Brother,

Marc when I left to go up North for Christmas I told you that I would see you in a couple of weeks. When they called me Christmas morning to tell me you were gone, I didn't want to believe that it was true. You were a true friend that I will always remember and our friendship was from the "Northern School of Brotherhood" as we often talked about. You are missed every day on every watch. You gave your all to assure the safety of others with little asked in return.
I have seen Adam and your Dad a few times and they are doing great. I will be there if they need something so don't worry my Brother, I have my eyes on them. Rest in Peace and until we meet again, Love and Miss You Brother.

You were my best friend and will always be my brother. We shared so many laughs together and arrested so many bad guys. You were the best cop! I would give anything to have you back here with us. We miss you and this place will never be the same without you. We will look after Adam and your father for they are our family too. Every time I've seen Adam since your death he has been so strong.
