Stuart was my son's supervisor and friend. He was also a dear friend to our family. (He is also a nephew of my sister-in-law) Stuart was a wonderful, kind, generous, thoughtful, and comical man. I remember Matt telling me some funny things they use to pull on each other. Stuart made sure to remember my family during our first Christmas without Matt with a card from the shift. He and his wife also remembered the first anniversary of our son's death with a beautiful card. I am sure when Stuart reached heaven he was given many jewels for his crown for the thoughtful way he lived on earth. I am also sure that Matt was there among other loved ones to welcome him home. I pray for Vicky, Ben and Chuck that the Lord will keep his loving arms around the whole family.

My sincere condolences to Stuart's family. I worked with Stuart from the time he was a rookie until 2000. He was undoubtedly a man who stood his ground and believed in the rule of law. He served unselfishly not only the community but his fellow police officers.
His wife Vickie stood by him in all his endeavors and I admired thier solidarity. This is truly a loss not only to CCPD but for Law Enforcement.
To CCPD Officers and Employees from Yakima Police Department
our deepest condolences.

Stuart was my partner for almost two years after I graduated the CCPD police academy almost 20 years ago. He was a character and made coming to work fun. Stuart was a very good police officer who I knew I could trust with my life. He was also a very good friend during that time in my life. The thing I remember most about Stuart was his love for his wife and son.
