If you've had the privilege to work with Paul, you no doubt learned to be a better cop. If you've had the good fortune to play along side of Paul, you no doubt learned to be a better team mate. But if you've had the blessing of being a friend of Paul Sorce's, you could not help but try to be a better person. It was Paul,s gift, he inspired others by simply living the only way he knew how; with honor, devotion and unwavering faith. Remember Paul when the right choice is not the easy choice. Thanks Coach.

A great loss. My thoughts are with his wife and children as well as his father and his brother. Paul was a stand up guy always. He was liked by everyone growing up in Benton Harbor, treated women respectfully, awed and inspired us every Friday night with his skills on the football field, was a great baseball player, loved and honored his mother and father, and was a good brother and friend. I was blessed to have known him.

Paul,
God Bless and rest in peace. The lives you have touched is many. The lives you have touched is not limited only to the Law Enforcement community. You have been a role model for the members of your church and all the players you coached.
I want to say thank you to you for the recent kind words that you said about our police department. The lessons I learned from you on the job and in life will be cherished forever.

The following is a Fallen Officer's Prayer that was found while a Pueblo Police Officer visited the N.Y.P.D. Museum & Ground Zero in 2005 Officer's Prayer
Fallen Officer’s Prayer
I Never Dreamed It Would Be Me.
My Name For All Eternity.
Recorded Here At This Hallowed Place.
Alas, My Name, No More My Face.
'In The Line of Duty' I Hear Them Say.
My Family Now The Price To Pay.
My Folded Flag Stained With Their
Tears.
We Only Had Those Few Short Years.
The Badge No Longer On My Chest.
I Sleep Now In Eternal Rest.
My Sword I Pass To Those Behind And
Pray They Keep This Thought In Mind.
I Never Dreamed It Would Be Me.
And With A Heavy Heart And Bended
Knee, I Ask For All Here From The
Past...
Dear God, Let My Name Be The Last.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
