Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Robert W. Arnold

Deputy Sheriff Arnold,
On today, the 100th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Osage County.

Deputy Arnold -

My Osage family is from Pawhuska, and there's no doubt my white grandfather and Osage Grandmother were about that area while you served. Based upon his history, you may have even...shall we say...crossed paths. Those were tough times, indeed, and men like you hopefully protected the (newly, oil-wealthy) Osage people who were being ripped-off, and often killed, for their money.

I thank you for the service you provided in those very difficult days. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
