This my Great Grandfather. I remember my GawGaw (TT Morton) telling us this story when we were kids. Very proud to be his great granddaughter.

This is my Great Grandfather. We were told this story often as children. Very proud to be his great granddaughter. A most wonderful man.

I just discovered this memorial and my heart is swelling with pride even while my eyes blink back tears. I am this man's great-granddaughter, and had no idea, until today, that this story was in my background. My father was in police work, and taught us to respect the law and those who upheld it, and gave their all for it. I am so honored to know that it is in our blood. Great-Grandfather Joe, I am so proud to be your kin!
