Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

Constable Smith,

I know it has been 56 years since your passing. However, you are still remembered by your fellow Winston County Constables, as you were the last Constable to pass away in the line of duty. I was elected in Beat 9 (Nesmith/Helicon) this past Tuesday, and couldn't help but think of you, and hope the Lord gives me the courage, strength, and integrity to serve my neighbors and constuients until my time is up, and then perhaps I will be able to meet you and shake your hand. May God continue to bless your family.

T.Allred, Constable-Elect/ Beat 9

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 56th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
