Det. Jones,
On today, the 10th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not justvfor your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the USN during Desert Storm. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

10 years remembered as though it were this morning. Thoughts and prayers continue from my family to Chris' and that love and happiness flourish in their daily lives.
I recall as our brother laid to rest, marching in cadence and remaining at attention, that tears froze to the face of every officer I could see. Nothing heard but thw whistle of a sharp wind and a final call. That day was the coldest I had ever seemed to brave in my life and my face burned for days. I describe these details as they will forever be a symbol and memory etched into the front of my mind and with how deep an inscription, surely the same to all others.

You left too soon, when I was too little, so I never got the chance to get to know you. I know you taught me how to fish once, but that’s all I know. Looking at these Reflections it seems like I missed out on a great guy and an amazing person. I wish I got to know you better, but God needed you up in heaven. Rest In Peace Chris

Your little girl got married the other day buddy. We made sure that there was strong showing from the Dept. Impossible not to think about you while watching her walk down the aisle. It's the first time I've been inside that church since your viewing. Bittersweet. You are not forgotten!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect, and your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace today.

Rest In Peace.

I went to the dedication of the renaming to the Detective Chris Jones Memorial Highway today. What an awesome memorial for a fallen officer.

I never had a chance to meet you as I am getting into law enforcement now but from what I hear you were a good cop and a great dad. I hope I can fulfil the same.

RIP 4466

I can not beleive it has been 2 years already. Strangely enough, I am sitting in the very same spot as that horrible day. I remember it all too well, for the nightmare that it was. Much has changed since then. I think it's safe to assume that many of your brothers and sisters will never be the same. From my console here, I can see a framed blown-up version of your cop card. We all miss that smile. And as I look around the room on any given day, I still see many people wearing their "Chris Jones" sweatshirts. I see them at the grocery store, the mall, or your badge stuck to a vehicle, and it reminds me just how many lives you've touched. And they, we, will... NEVER FORGET.
