God Bless Curtis and his family. He was taken from many early in life. Bless his courageous acts as an officer in
this crime-filled city. Let his passing not go in vain. If
there is anything we can learn out of this tragedy, I pray
God shows us. It is hard to accept when the great heroes of this world pass away like this."The line of duty" is a largely
overlooked service to mankind. All we can do now is thank God
for the joy and safety he brought many: ones that knew him and
others who slept better/safer at night because of him.

Brother your change of duty station was not planned but God needed an honorable and professional man of the badge for his assignment in heaven. You are welcomed by all our brave and honorabble brothers and sisters who also paid the ultimate sacrifice. Be assured your name will not be forgotten here and that your brothers and sisters left behind will care for your family. Your special skills will serve God well in heaven as they did His children here. You will be sorely missed yet we know our Lord has a special assignment for you. Rest in peace brother.

My thoughts are with all of your loved ones during this very trying time. There are no magic words I can offer to help them with their grief except to do everything in their power to keep your memory alive and take one day at a time. You will never be forgotten as you are a true hero and heroes never die. Wrap your wings around all of your loved ones and help them with their grief and protect them.

He was my School Resource Officer when I went to Culver City High School. I went on a ride-along with him one year as part of a career day. While on the ride-along he said I would make a good cop some day and now 6 years later I have been on the road for a year. Rest In Peace Curt.
