Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. As I read the refections of your co-workers , I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember you.
Rest In Peace.

Dom not a day i'm 10-8 goes by that I don't think about all the things you taught me, in life and in death. Every time I pass the ramp on I40, every time I have a horrible run, or I forget a knife! You are missed! RIP brother!

Dom,
Its been 2 years now, its seems less though. I was recently promoted to Sgt, and hoping I can be a fraction of the supervisor you are. Not a day goes by, I think of that fateful day. Miss You Dommers, 10-48

To the family of Deputy Smith:
I never knew Deputy Smith, but I have read all the reflections left here in honor of him. I must say we share one thing in common; the unspoken bond between our brothers and sisters in blue. This May, I will be riding a bicycle in honor of Deputy Smith, starting in Chesapeake, Va and ending in the Washington D.C. area. "The Road to Hope" is a journey to honor the survivors and the fallen. If your family is going to attend Police Week, in Washington D.C. I'd be honored to meet you. "In valor there is hope."

Wow Dom we are coming up on 6 months since you left us and some days it is still unbelievable.... Eddie and Joel have not had a "cold one" where your name wasnt brought up and we laugh and sometimes we cry... You are missed! We see Heather in passing and she is so strong, but we know she is still struggling to go on without you.... Your children keep her going! We hope you are resting in peace....

Rest in Peace my friend! I will miss our talks. If you only knew how you touched the lives of others. Thank You for your support and your "backup" (you know what and where). I am so sorry I could not be there for your funeral. Your family will always be in my prayers!
"Pray for the Men in Blue"
It takes a very special person to wear the blue.
Most people do not understand what we do
We made a commitment to protect and serve.
We work hard to provide the safety you deserve.
No normal shifts, not nine to five.
We work 24/7 to keep you alive.
Holidays and weekends don’t mean a thing.
We work night and day, just give us a ring.
Our loved ones and children pray every night.
That we will return at the break of daylight.
We carry guns and wear vests to help us get through.
You couldn’t imagine some of the things we must do.
We see accidents and blood and small children crying.
We also see death and it’s not just old people dying.
Abusive spouses and parents that don’t seem to care.
These are just a few of the things, to make you aware.
Drug dealers and drunks are a regular sight.
We go to the bars for fight after fight.
Responding to calls day after day.
Not allowing our personal lives to get in the way.
You complain all the time when you see us on a break.
We just drive around in cars and oh, the money we make.
Stop for a second and try to assess
Who’s always there to clean up the mess.
We do all we can to help and provide.
To make you feel safe and secure inside.
Please remember all of the things that we must do.
And next time you pray, include the men in blue.
