Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Dominique Joseph Smith

Hey Dom, You have been a good friend of mine ever since we worked togather behind the bars. I know when you told me that you were going to the streets that you would make a hell of a deputy. I was right, you were the best. I am truly going to miss you. But I know that today you are walking the Lord's beat. We all love and miss you.

Broadcasting your final dispatch was probably one of the hardest thing I have ever had to do professionally, hoping that my voice didn't betray any emotion, wanting to bring only honor to you. Dominique Smith, you truly were one of the best law enforcement officers I have ever been privileged to work with. Your loss is felt on both a professional level and personal level. Know that you will never be forgotten. You are loved. You are missed. You will be remembered. Rest in peace, Friend.
