Officer Smith was and will always be a true Hero, Friend, Officer and Human Being. You never saw him without getting a hug or handshake. He always smiled and said hello and he was never cross. If you needed a helping hand he was always willing to lend one. He was an inspiration to work alongside and a true teacher. I enjoyed personal conversations and learnings with Officer Smith and those memories will always be remembered. He was truly a great man!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and other friends! Officer Smith, you will always be missed!

Love,

Smith, I just heard about your tragic shooting and wanted to send our prayers and thoughts to you and your family. Being at home and recovering from a broken ankle that occurred during an incident with a suspect I was trying to arrest on New Years morning, my wife and I are sitting here thankful and sad at the same time. Such a tragic loss. God bless you, your family and your fellow officers.
