God is holding you. Your brothers are hurting, I saw it in their eyes. Your wife sure does love you, I felt a only a sliver of her pain in my heart, it was unbearable. Our DPD family will carry the torch for you and your family now, your service was not in vain. I can't wait to meet you in heaven, for your blue has turned to gold. You laid down your life for your friends and to protect the weak, what a great gift in the eyes of the Lord.

Our fathers served in the British Army together and our families were neighbours on the same street when we lived in Canada. Norm and I traveled together and attended military school together in the UK when we were kids. We spent our school holidays together.
Norm was bigger, stronger and more athletic than me. I was quite a small kid and an easy target for bullies and thugs. Norm helped and protected me and other small kids. Even at the age of 12 Norm was a selfless and righteous individual who knew right from wrong and placed himself on higher ground. He never caved in to peer pressure and always did what was right The fact that he chose to dedicate his life to the service of others and his community does not surprise me.
I am proud to have known Norm and to have been his childhood friend. And although we eventually lost touch as adults I find I suddenly miss him.
Words cannot express my condolences, nor do they do Norm service. May Norman find and rest in the grace of God, and may his family, friends and fellow law enforcement officers find peace.

There is a prison in Huntsville, Texas waiting for this piece of trash who killed one of GOD'S angels. I understand there is a table waiting for him and no reservations are required. You gotta love Texas justice.
