Officer Samborsky
Rest in Peace Brother and tell my Son-in law Josh Norris EOW 07/05/2007 hello and have him show you around. My prayers are with your family during this dark time, but you will have your day, a day that you richly deserve, too many police cars to count, with lights blazing and sirens screaming escorting you. Hundreds of your brothers and sisters will stand at attention saluting you and the citizens of your community will shed tears. A 21 gun salute will sound out in respect for you and heart numbing Taps" will be played for you while your family receives a flag. There will not be a dry eye left from both your family and police family near and far. Saint Michael the chief of police in heaven will greet you at the pearly gates and welcome you to Saint Peter's district. You will never be forgotten and your strength and courage will live on to inspire every new deputy that takes up the call of the profession and your sacrifies will be remmebered through out the nation with every police officer. You got the call, you gave your all, and it was more than enough. So prop your feet up and take a load off up there and keep an ear to the radio so that when another of our brother's number is called you can meet them at the gate with a cup of coffee and a smile. Oh and put in a good word for me up there, I like the day watch and make sure my boy Josh is not sleeping the time way.
To the Family of Officer Samborsky
Your complete family are in my families prayers during this dark time. My family is just starting to make it thru a lost of our own with the death of my future son in-law Josh Norris. Mason was taken to early and should of have had more time with you guys. I know words at this time will never stop the hurt, but know your Husband and Dad is not far from you, he is the whisper in the wind, that feeling of being hugged when no one is there, he will always be at your side watching over ever accomplishment and catching ever tear that you guys shed. What has helped my family and may help yours, remember your love ones laugh, his smile and all those things that are unique to him, since they are truly what made him. He is a true hero in every sense of the word and your police family extends it arms to you, if this one from Louisiana can do anything do not hesitate to ask. God bless you and may he give you strength.

My heart goes out to the family and the friends of Officer Mason Samborsky. He served his community, his state, his country well, in a thankless job, that was dangerous, and always could end in the ultimate sacrifice. May God hold you in His Arms Officer Samborsky, and may God bring peace to your family and friends, and justice to your community.
God bless you sir. We are proud of your service.

I wanted to let the family of Officer Samborsky how truly sorry I am for your loss. It absolutely breaks my heart! I hope that somehow during the difficult days ahead that you find comfort in knowing that Officer Samborsky is a true hero!!! He gave his life trying to protect and serve his community and that takes a very special person. As it states in the book of Matthew, "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be the sons of God." May God watch over you, protect you, and comfort you during this difficult time. You are in my prayers. I also pray that the coward who took this husband, father, son, friend, and officer's life is quickly found and brought to justice.

Carry On
Written in memory of
Officer Mason Samborski
& All Officers taken in the line of duty
Hang your heads in sorrow for the tears have begun
A man of blue has fallen much, much too young
Even the angels looking down into the watering tides
Watch as their tears fall on starlight, bringing night into the sky
Now each man of blue who upholds the law
Wonders in silence why he is gone
And evil it seems has darkened the sun
For now in the quiet the mourners have come
For every law man who falls within the day
For every good man who is taken too soon away
For every good deed that is done by our own hands
We, left here below, must now understand...
That the things that we cherish must be hard fought and won
But the code and the service must carry on
And yes,
Heaven cries harder when a man of blue falls
But not one of them EVER truly is gone
You see Mason,
He is now starlight, and guides from blue sky
Directing angels below, standing right by your side
He is there in pure spirit, in honor and in song
So listen to his, and their, message,
It says “the brave carry on,
In the memory of the fallen you must carry on
In the memory of the fallen we must carry on
In Lasting Memory,
Eric Sander Kingston & Family

My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Samborsky's family, friends and fellow officers of the Oak Park Police Department.
To his wife and child, may God bless you and keep you safe in his arms during your time of sorrow. As the wife of a Southfield police officer, I can relate to the feeling of watching your husband walk out the door, and praying that he will be watched over and kept safe while out on the streets. I honestly believe that it takes a strong and special kind of woman to be a policeman's wife. I am so sorry that you have to experience this loss and your husband was chosen to pay the ultimate price.
To Officer Samborsky, may you rest in peace. Please watch over your fellow officers as they continue to walk the beat. You will never be forgotten.
