Three months on the job and now you've worked your last tour. I'm sure you were just starting to learn how things worked, and came to work every day looking foward to your next tour. Now, you leave us a hero. When I say "us" I mean every Sheriff, Police Officer, Trooper, etc. We all have different ranks, we all serve in different states, but we all have the same purpose: to get the bad guy and keep the good guys safe. God Bless You and Rest In Peace!!

Deputy Sheriff Jeremy Keith Carter,
Nobody knows the reason any of us will be called from this earth. It is a mystery. The likes of which only can be answered by our Creator.
Deputy Jeremy Carter was sworn to uphold the law and did exactly that when he was stricken and bid farewell to his loved ones and his fellow officers. This alone makes him a hero among heros. No period of time as a law officer is required to make one a valid hero. He simply did his job valiantly as the many heros before him. May they all welcome him among them.
To his family and friends, you should know that he is considered a brother almong his law enforcement family everywhere. We regret that he did not have more time on this earth to live out his dreams. In the mean time we will remember him as a fellow soldier of the law.
I am proud to render him a final salute.
