It is truly right and just that your murderer's name not be mentioned in this memorial page, he was a lowlife coward who does not deserve any recognition, simply disdain. You on the other hand are a true hero who gave his life in the service of others.
God Bless and I pray you are resting comfortably for all eternity, Brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 95th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

It's been 95 years, Uncle Howard and you're still my hero. You'd be proud of the Franklin family. Multiple generations went into Law Enforcement just like you. We won't forget you.

Sgt. Franklin,
It has taken over 91 years, but you are finally being honored. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Orangeburg. It took another 6 monthes, but your murderer finally got the justice that he deserved.
