Savannah, not a day went by that your father didn't think of you, love you and want you.
You have one older bonus brother who your dad love like his own child, two younger brothers, a little sister who turned five yesterday and last July you got two new bonus sisters when I remarried. All of us wonder about you all the time and love you even though we have never met you.
We pray that one day you will decide to come back to us even though your father is gone.

I spent the last week with your 6 year old son at COPS camp in Wisconsin as his mentor. You should be proud he is a nice young man. Your wife is doing a good job with him. I also had the pleasure of meeting your older boy. He too is a nice kid.

Officer Sanders,
I had the pleasure to meet your wife at the top of Guadalupe Peak in Texas during the Cops on Top event. I was happy to learn that you patrolled the streets and freeway where I used to live in California. As a retired Santa Ana Police Officer, I am sure we saw each other in traffic courts. Even though we did not meet formally, your wife conveyed so much to us that we all felt that we knew you.
Thank you for your service,

Your memory, and legacy continually lives on through your wife who shared your story with over 100 Texas law enforcement officers at the top of Guadalupe Peak in Texas on June 30, 2012 as part of the Cops On Top National event.

Joe,
I never had the honor of meeting you but I feel as though I know you. My name is Chris Orrock and I was a Doc with Weapons Company 2/23. Currently I serve as the Exucutive Officer of the Young Marine Cobras where I met Tondria and the kids. I just wanted to write on here and let you know how much love and admiration we all have for your family. I don't know how Tondria has done it but she is amazing. While I have not spent a lot of time with the little ones I want you to know what a strong young man that Trentten is turning into. He still has his moments but I think he will follow in your foot steps and be a hero for our country. Rest assured we will watch over all of them and always be there.

Joe was a great man who started a wonderful family. He was a hard worker in all aspects of his life, from school, to wrestling, football, the Marine Corps, his family and finally the CHP. His legacy will live o through his children and all the people that he touched in his short life.

Two long years... Two years too many without you Babe... The kids are getting so big, you would be so proud. Johnny misses you so much. We all miss you so much.
You were right, the baby was a girl. I named her Elizabeth, the name we picked together before you went to Iraq. She is a pistol and so beautiful. Poor thing got your nose and my attitude. I think she will look like Savannah.
We are doing really well for the most part, but I still miss you Big Sexy Marine. Everyone is remembering you today. You should hear the beautiful things everyone is saying about you today.
I made sure there are tons of presents under the tree. Your death has made December hard but I am keeping Christmas fun and joyful, the way you kept it, the way it should be...
Luv, Me

Officer Sanders,
Through loss, comes pain. And through pain, comes motivation.
With the right motivation,... one life can grow into a tree large enough to shelter many other lives.
Thank you for your sacrifice. You have left behind a powerful legacy.

Paul and I shared many stories of our time in Iraq while we were at the academy. He was my company guide on barer and a leader while at the academy. He was the first and hopefully the last from my class to lose there life in the line of duty. I think of him often and I know he is now safe in Gods hands.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. He was also your fellow Marine.
I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you, especially your wife and children and parents. The sorrow of losing a beloved never goes away and both the pain and pride are forever.
Rest In Peace.

Tondria - I'm not sure if you remember me, but I was a peer at the retreat. You have been in my prayers, and will continue to be. SC keeps me updated on how you are, and I realize this is a very tough time for you. If there is anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to contact me through her. You and your children are in my heart.
