Reflections for Special Agent James Nathaniel Malone

Agent Malone,
On today, the 100th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice as a Law Enforcement Officer. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. After reading your EOW story I can’t help but admire how tough an Officer you must’ve been-after being hit as many times as you were you still were able to draw your weapon and hit that smuggler and put him down because all smugglers whether they smuggle drugs, alcohol or illegal aliens are the lowest of the low.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 88th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

All my life my daddy told his four children about his daddy, James Nathaniel Malone who was killed when he was just five years old. Granddaddy could not have been more "alive" to us except had he lived.I have always been PROUD of my grandfather as was my daddy, N.B.Malone. Daddy is no longer living, but I KNOW he would be so HONORED to have his daddy's ultimate sacrifice noted by having his name along side all the other fallen officers. Granddaddy, Rest in Peace. We will all meet in the by and by.
