I have worked with Frankie on midnights for the past two years. I always told him he reminded me of my dad and that is the greatest compliment I can give. We already miss your "Frankie-ascos" and your locker room antics. Your dedication to your family was inspiring and your sense of humor was and will continue to be contageous. You are and will always be missed. "Hey Frankie...gimme da combo wit!"

I worked with Frank 20 years ago prior to him becoming a police officer. We were bartenders at a club in Schaumburg named Confetti. Frank was a warm-hearted guy with a great sense of humor. If you knew him, you wouldn't ever forget him.

I was shocked to learn he'd died. I'm very sorry for him and his family. My condolences....

I thought I'd share a memory.

Once, a massive brawl broke out in our nightclub. Frank and I and several other bartenders tried to help the outnumbered bouncers break up the fights. Frank took on the biggest guy in the room and got him in a headlock on the ground, all while the guy was hitting him and working to get free. Frank seemed almost bored by the guys punches and seemed to have everything in control. The guy was about to get out of the headlock and would have been on top of Frank, so I grabbed the guy's legs and pulled him back to the ground to keep this from happening. The third time I accidentally separated them. The guy looked at Frank, then he looked at me and immediately decided I was an easier fight than Frank. He was right. I played duck and cover while the guy wailed on me until Frank pulled him off me a few seconds later. I still appreciate how Frank saved me from the guy. We had a lot of laughs about it. But that's the kind of guy he was. He always had your back.

I'll always remember him.

I worked with Franky for the past seven years on the midnight shift. For several of those years I shared the back row of roll call with him. I was looking forward to coming back to Franky's squad next year, and sitting next to him again. Roll call will never quite be the same. Two things that I will never forget about Franky is his sense of humor and his love for his family. Franky you will be missed, and will always be in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers go out to Franky's family. I along with our entire department will be here for you whenever you need us.

I haven't been with the department for 13 years, but I will always remember Frank. He always had a smile on his face-he just LOVED being a police officer. He had such a great sense of humor and drew people to him. The other thing I will never forget is how much he loved his family. I pray that you find comfort in knowing you're in everyone's thoughts and prayers.
