My name is Tracy Bull and I am a descendant of Thomas Holmes. My great grandmother and aunt, Mollie Holmes Bull Rogers and aunt Margaret Holmes Bull. My father Charles Ed Bull was a deputy sheriff and then the criminal investigator from 1977 to his death in 1987 for the Perry County Sheriffs office here in Arkansas. I myself was a Deputy jailer dispacther form 1987 to 1989 for the same S.O.

Thomas Isom Holmes - 1849-1892 - Son of William Holmes from St. Genevieve County, MO.
Thomas is my 3rd great grandfather. His son Edd L. Holmes, my 2nd great grandfather, shows on Census Records to have also been a Perry County Deputy like his father. To the best of my knowledge I am the only one since in the direct family to follow in LE. Despite being raised in Alabama, I ended up being a deputy sheriff just 170 miles away in Northeast Arkansas.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and seventeenth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
