Reflections for Police Officer Bradley Alan Moody

By the end of today's service I felt I knew you. Your Department did you proud. Your wife was amazingly strong and our thoughts are with her and your girls. I have been in your departments shoes, and only hope they stay strong and rely on each other to make it through these rough times.

May Brad's strength and courage resonate in all of us in this very painful time but most of all for you Susan and Family. I know Brad is watching over you and still doing what he loves and that is making sure you are safe and protected. The pain will not fade because he was so very important to us all but the happy memories will push through and remind us all of what a wonderful, courageous and beautiful spirit he is!! We are all so lucky to have had a man like Brad on this earth! My deepest sympathy goes out to you Susan, the girls, Mr. and Mrs. Moody and to James, Jenny, Michelle, Tanner, Jaiden and the whole entire Moody family as well as Susan's family, Richmond P.D. and the entire Law Enforcement Community. My brother I dont know where to start. I know I will miss your big smile. Everytime we loaded up for an entry I knew I could count on you to have my back. Your kids and family will know from all the lives you touched how great of a man you were.

Its hard to see a young kid grow into a man as I watched you over the years and know that I will never see you again. I love you and watch over those who have left us and are now on your watch in heaven. Love you baby boy.

See you at the next detail.

Maam,

Your husband was a Hero in the truest sense of the word. He will always be remembered. I felt compelled to leave a reflection because of the letter you wrote.

My two daughters happen to be Madison and Emma also and I can not bare to think of what you are going through. I can not imagine how and what my wife would tell them at such a young age.

You and your family will be in our prayers. Thank you for having the strength to write that letter. This story has truly touched my family and I.

I decided to look at my husbands reflections and came up on Officer Brad Moodys. I'm so sadden to see another officers name on this site. I understand what your family is going trough right now and I wish I could help in any way but I know they well be ok. I never thought I would never be able to live another day with out my husband but you do. It never gets easier you just learn to handle it in your own way. My husband Jason was shoot and killed in the line of duty in May 2001, Our oldest son was 2 1/2 and our youngest was just 5 weeks old. I want Mrs. Brad Moody to know you are not alone, you may feel like at times but know that someone out there is praying for you and your family... May God Bless you and your family... You now have a special angel watching over you.
