I have always thought your name Grant equals greatness. It seems it does. If you look at the characteristics of US Grant and yours, you see many similarities. I miss you.

I remember. We used to bump in to each other at the QT close to Lindenwood. You were always polite and professional. Our community lost, not only a good cop, but also a good man.

The death of two officers today, brought back painful memories for me. It reminded me of that horrible day we lost you. Man I Miss you. There have not been many people who have seem to get me and you were one of the few who did. Your death is a void in my life that will never be replaced.

Miss you terribly, the spring is coming and all the memorials start happening. I appreciate all of the hard work that goes into remembering our officers, but it is still hard to believe you are gone. I think of you all the time and will never stop. Your will to keep going and to never change course or to have a goal of purpose. Get up and keep going is what we have learned from you. I realize I never will be the same and that is ok. You are still an amazing brother, you are my HERO. I love you, forever blue. Sami

Grant, today I had the pleasure of having lunch with your beautiful wife Annette, and baby son lil Grant (who I also got the honor helping deliver). You have one amazing wife here, and she is so inspirational to me. Thanks for the honor of knowing you all.
